Long Live The Pope

Long Live The Pope sees you the player taking on the role of a Cardinal in his holiest army. The pope has become ill and will not last very long. A vote will be put forth after his death on who his successor will be.

• Slide coin through Bribery of your fellow cardinals.
• Buy property to fund said coin slidage.
• Gain secrets and use them in your discussions of the vote.

With these tools at your hands you should have no problem helping the other Cardinals to see how much you should be elected as the Holiest on this Earth.

This is a demo of a majority of the features for Long Live The Pope.

Features:

• Bribery System- Use your wealth to increase respect from cardinals(75%)[Property Bribery coming in future patch].
• Investments- Buy property to increase your daily wealth gains.(100%)
• Spying System- Gain the name of the Cardinal's nemesis and allow them to see the error in their ways if they don't vote for you.(Half completed)
• Ranking System- See how you stack up in the vote for Pope.(50%)
• Dialogue- Currently there is a bunch of similar lines used for each Cardinal. In future patches this will be a bit more random going Cardinal to Cardinal.
• Day Cycle- Each day you get 1 free action and 1 costly action. Spying is considered a free action while Bribery and Blackmailing via secrets are considered a costly action. At the end of each day you will see the top 10 cardinals and be greeted by a random Cardinal who needs to be swayed to your side.

Controls:

The entire game is played with just a mouse.  Clicking Investments will bring up the property buying page. Rankings brings up the current standings to become pope. The Arrow buttons allow you to cycle between all the Cardinals so you can see how you stand with each Cardinal.

The current resolution is set for 1080p. This is a 2d project so it shouldn't require much in the way of resources. If you run into any bugs just comment up what you were doing and what happened and I will do my best to reproduce it and get it fixed in the next patch.
